What a Difference a CraftMaster Door Makes?
It's like the difference between a blank look and a face lined with personality. One drains a room of life, the other brings it to life. It is the same with your interior doors.A beautiful door offers light, shadow, depth and sometimes even mystery. It catches your eye from across the room. It makes entering and leaving an event. It accentuates your personal style.

Our company was founded in 1967 by Mr. Lindy and Mr. Lynch (hence the name L&L). Unfortunately, another company already had the L&L name, so over a few good laughs, Mr. Lindy and Mr. Lynch figured they could "beat the system" by adding an E in front of each L. The name EL & EL was born. Within a few months, Robert Ward joined EL & EL and eventually purchased the company from Mr. Lindy and Mr. Lynch. Today, Cathy Vidas is the President of El & EL Wood Products and has run the company since 1991.

JELD-WEN was founded by Richard ”Dick” Wendt, an entrepreneur at heart, who learned the art of managing a manufacturing company under the tutelage of his father, Caradco executive Lester Wendt. In 1957, Iowa-based Caradco sent Dick to Oregon to help run the company’s millwork plant in Klamath Falls. Caradco decided to sell the plant at auction. Dick and four business partners, Larry Wetter, John Biehn, Gerry Wickersham, and Bill Taylor bought many of the assets on October 25, 1960 and named the new company JELD-WEN.

TruStile was one of the first door manufacturers to leverage the superior benefits of MDF (medium density fiberboard) for paint-grade door applications. Since then, we have become the nation’s leading manufacturer of solid MDF doors. In 2003, we recognized an opportunity to bring these exceptional manufacturing principles to the stain-grade wood door market. With the addition of our wood door manufacturing plant, TruStile now has the ability to fulfill virtually any door need for any residential or commercial project.
Unlike most imported doors, which use wood stave core material (or even worse, particle board) between surface veneers as thin as paper, our doors are manufactured with high-quality engineered LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) core sandwiched inside thick 1/8" slats. And our panels are always sold wood—no plywood or waferboard sandwiched in between. Our solid flooring is always at least 3/4" thick, and our wide-plank engineered flooring uses an 11-ply, alternating-grain, exterior grade wood core for maximum strength and stability. The quality of our construction is unmatched anywhere.
